The Colors of Independence....








When we think of the 4th of July we think of fireworks, parades, carnivals, picnics, baseball games and time with family and friends.













Its a day that we celebrate with all of our traditions the independence of the United States from Great Britain on July 4,1776.























Independence day is the national day of the United States. 




















The day the United States adopted the Declaration of Independence.



































Which has come to be considered a major statement on human rights.

The most famous line in the declaration is.....













We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain rights that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Kravet, Lee Jofa, Ralph Lauren, and Brunschwig and Fils

The L.A. design center is always a great place to go and to find inspirations for clients. Kravet's showroom had some fun vignettes.






We were looking at fabrics and furniture. Kravet has some wonderful furniture and a line of fabrics that are beautiful. They also have a fabric line that is called "smart fabric".
  There is no extra charge for fabrics if you choose from the smart line. 





What do you think about using pink or mauve in your home?







Great neutral palette.









This is Ralph Lauren's beautiful fabrics on a Kravet sofa. Love the black floral pillows with the white sofa. Notice the black trim details at the bottom of the sofa.

These little numbers were with R.L's fabrics. OK, we should have put them underneath the sofa picture. No one is perfect!

We also visited the Lee Jofa showroom were we saw this gorgeous chair with Brunschwig and Fils' fabric. Love!








Notice the trim detail! This is what sets your  home apart when you work with a designer. Those little details that add the extra touches and interest. It looks designed and not like everyone 
else's home.

Lee Jofa set the stage with this wonderful rug and complemented it with beautiful fabrics in grays, whites and browns.

Arteriors and Lisa Luby Ryan

One of our favorite designers and wholesale lines have joined together to create a wonderful line of home decor.  Lisa Luby Ryan and Arteriors. 




Lisa has a sophisticated, creative style, that has a comfortable welcoming feel. These bar stools are a part of her line through Arteriors.













The lamp and mirror below are both a part of her line with Arteriors. 






















 Lisa created a soft atmosphere with white washed furniture and natural tones. We still love those chandeliers....

Fabric Love....

We have been pulling together fabrics for several jobs. Here is one of three groupings of fabrics we are considering to use for a living room and dinning room.  The colors we are working with are  taupe-grayish color walls and carpet, an ivory sofa and chairs, which we are still looking for. The small gray and white fabric is already on the dinning room chairs and the client wants to keep that fabric.
 This is one group of fabrics.

Out of the 3 groups- which one do you like best?





This is # 2 pick. 
Most of  the fabrics are from Kravets.







This is #3 pick.
Love a little purple thrown into the mix. All of the floral prints will be on pillows except for the raindrop pattern. We are waiting for more samples from Kravets so we might end up with something completely different.



 So sorry we missed a post. We might be a little late here and there, but we will try our best. We will also try to say hello on your blogs. We have enjoyed so many friendships out in blog-land. We have a lot going on right now, but we will be back into our normal routine soon.

Outdoor Rooms


Outdoor spaces can be an extension from the inside, especially in Southern California. 
We tend to use our outside rooms all year long for entertaining.

Do you have the perfect outdoor room where you love to entertain guests?
 We have already had several parties in our backyard from wedding showers to a graduation party. 
also have a baby shower in August. 
As much as we love entertaining, we would love to find a simple, easy way, where you wouldn't get so tired.
 If anyone has some ideas on this, clue us in!
